Jimmy Epplett is the director of the Central Lakes Youth Group. The Central Lakes Youth program is a combined ministry with Central, Lake Harbor, and Lakeside United Methodist churches.

Abner Bennett Hall the scene of first Kids’ Food Basket satellite site

Seven volunteers were on hand at Central UMC on Monday, April 23 to pack 400 sack meals. After a year of planning, Kids’ Food Basket has expanded their efforts into Muskegon.

Doors of friendship

Thirty members from Central and Mt. Zion congregations got together on Feb. 25 for a time of friendship. They explored the theme, “We Stand at the Door” with skits, crafts and reflections by senior pastors.

Busy in Chatham

Ten volunteers from Central returned to Muskegon on Feb. 3 after a week of work at the Midwest Mission Distribution Center in Chatham, Illinois. One of their tasks was making school desks for Haiti.
