Cody’s Place Welcomes Young Readers
Central has a wonderful Children’s Library. It is called Cody’s Place in memory of the young son of Heather and Smoky Warner and it is located opposite the doors of the elevator on the second floor.
Cody’s Place is a quiet, colorful space for children of various ages to browse There is a good selection of books for younger children, both readers and non-readers. There are CDs, DVDs and some computer software with Christian themes. There’s a computer station, too.
We operate on the honor system and ask that each parent or older child assume responsibility for properly checking out books and returning them.
For children wanting to practice their reading, we now have a basket of stories that are accompanied by tapes of someone reading the story to you.
Martha Giacobassi serves as the Librarian for Cody’s Place.
Speakers have been installed in Cody’s Place. Children and parents who are in Cody’s Place during worship will be able to listen to the service.
If you would like to donate books to Cody’s Place, new or used, please drop them off at the Church Office. Your contributions are greatly appreciated.
