Learning is for Life...
Life isn’t easy for lots of people in these rapidly changing times. Relationships end. Dreams go unfulfilled. The hope to remain faithful — to family, friends and God — is a constant struggle. People go along uncertain about today and fearful about tomorrow. Where can a child, a teenager, or an adult go for help? They can go to the community of faith.
Yes, it may feel like a struggle, but whether we know it or not, what we often are on is a spiritual quest. The Church is the place to make that journey with other loving friends. Let’s face it. Our high-tech society can’t answer questions about the meaning of life. The “information highway” is no substitute for the guidelines for love-centered and purpose-filled living that we find in God's Word, the Bible.
Here at Central United Methodist Church we have opportunities for relationships and activities that help us do three things:
Know and experience God through Jesus Christ
Claim and live God’s promises for us as God’s people
- Grow and serve others as disciples of Christ
These activities and programs keep us growing no matter what age we are, no matter what stage of life we’re in. Sunday School is part of it but it’s much bigger than Sunday School. So check out these opportunities for growth. Find meaning, acceptance, love and security. Find Jesus.
