Have you ever read the Bible all the way from Genesis to Revelation? Forty-three of your Central friends have stepped up to this whole church challenge.
We are reading 12 pages a day for 90 days. We started on Ash Wednesday and will finish around Pentecost. Pastor Gary is leading weekly check-in sessions on Sunday mornings (9:30 am) and Wednesday evenings (6:30 pm). There are DVDs that do a fantastic job of explaining major themes and introducing major characters in the story of how God relates to his people. These check-in sessions are open to all. An Essential Bible Companion is available for $14. This book features two page write-ups of each book in the Bible. It is a helpful resource for those doing the daily reading and for those wishing to participate in the weekly check-in. The Companion is available from Kay DeMoss.
Children are participate at their own pace at home and on Sunday morning. Their winter-spring unit in Sunday School is “Thirteen very bad days and how God fixed them.” The children meet in Room 204 at 9:30 am.
As Central seeks a new vision for the future of the congregation, what better way than to turn to God’s Word? We encourage you to take part in The Bible in 90 Days Whole Church Challenge.
